  6. We get together with family and friends and head down to the beach for the day. We go down about 10am to get a good spot. We have canopies and beach shades, we bring lots of things to do and play, enjoy the beach and water. They always have music and festivities along the beach. We bring snacks but usually walk to Subway mid-afternoon to cool down and eat. Then enjoy the fireworks.

  17. It has been a tradition that my dad started with us to go to our local park and celebrate. Every year we go to the park, play games, have a picnic, and talk about the true meaning behind Independence Day. My oldest is seven and we are going to let him know more about his country and why he should be forever thankful. Not to mention we have to know our anthem. Singing, educational, fun, food, family, plus fireworks! It's the best.
