  1. My worse sleep deprivation was. From when I was much younger. I had 6 children at the time. Two had ear infections, two had respiratory infections aand I was already deprived of sleep a week prior to them getting sick. Being seperated at the time meant it was just me. It all caught up to me when I fainted in the middle of my kitchen. Thank goodness my Mom had just arrived from Florida to help me. Never got that baad again. Thankfully.

  3. I went over to my family's house the day before Fourth of July and when we got back home I had insomnia like crazy. So I ended up taking a power nap for 20 to 30 minutes and woke back up to head into work--a 14 hour shift, on top of being up for 10+ hours the previous day. My delirium by midday was pretty up there to say the least. Luckily I made it home safe and was able to rest before the next shift.

  4. I worked 3rd shift, I had 4 kids, 11, 7, and twins 4 and I was a single mother. I would get home at 7am, get the older two ready for school, the twins were in Headstart so I rode the bus with them every wednesday and stayed at school to help out. I averaged about 24 hours sleep a week until the twins finally started 1st grade. I don't know how I did it back then.

  5. My worst sleep deprivation story is when I had to travel back and forth to Arkansas from Michigan in a weekend. It was horrible. I could not think straight by the time I made it back to Michigan Monday morning. It was literally horrible. I had to pull off the hwy. I could not make it for about three hours and then got back on the road. I was sick as a dog by the time I got back home.

  6. My worst sleep deprivation story is when my son was born and he was so ill and cried all the time so I had to go to my parents with him to get some sleep. At home I would just about fall asleep with him in my arms during the day from being up all night.
