  10. I have to work that day but it has always been a special day for me because it is my mom's birthday. The 5th is my sister's birthday so they usually celebrated together with the family.

  11. Since my dogs are afraid of fireworks, I will have to stay home on the 4th. I never really have a big celebration anyway, but we often have a cookout on that day.

  12. I usually spend the 4th with family...and I LOVE going to see the fireworks! Cleveland usually has a good display so I love going to downtown cleveland.

  17. When our daughters were little we used to have 4th of July at my parents. Mom had games & prizes for the kids. After my Dad passed away, we quit having it but now my nephew and his family have it.

  23. Today was the fourth and I spent the day at the pool in my apartment complex and in the evening I was comforting my dog because he's afraid of fireworks. Poor baby thinks the world's ending. Thank-you. :)

  24. We had a get-together at a neighbor's house and grilled hamburgers and hot dogs. We cut up a watermelon and watched the fireworks across the lake.

  30. I didn't do much for the 4th. We went to the annual parade and then I stayed home but my daughter went with her Dad to a huge celebration and she had a ton of fun.
