Winemaker and water witch Marc Mondavi begins by giving life to the vineyards, using his copper divining rods to locate underground water. This water is harnessed to nourish and create ideal conditions for the vineyards to thrive. Marc prefers that the wines are specifically made to highlight the beautiful fruit of the vine, rather than the telltale signs of heavy handed wine making.
Marc has given life to countless vineyards across California. He quite literally "turns water into wine". Coming from America's foremost wine family Marc possesses amazing grape growing and wine making skills and knowledge.
Established in the 1940s by Italian immigrant s Cesare and Rosa Mondavi, C.
Mondavi and Family remains family owned. For generations it has thrived, producing wines for a variety of occasions and consumers. Built on a foundation of family values, hard work and European Wine making traditions, the winery offers a portfolio of wines for special occasions and everyday gatherings for family and friends. Continuing a legacy started 70 years ago, the family is now proudly welcoming third and fourth generations to the business.
In honor of Marc's ability to locate underground water sources and establish vineyards started the Divining Rod label in 2012. The Divining Rod has secured it's place in a long line of fine wines created by this iconic family.
During October and November all bottles of the Divining Rod wines will include a voucher for $1 off ice and $1 off a pumpkin, when you purchase the wine in the store. These offers are currently running in stores nationwide and can be found on the bottles of Divining Rod wines. #DrinkUpWitches!
