#TBT When I Think Thanksgiving, I Think Butterball & GIVEAWAY

In just days, most of us will be sitting around with family and friends laughing, catching up on each others lives, taking pictures, making memories, and being thankful for the blessings we have in our lives.

So much goes into having that special time with family. All the preparations for having over night guests, seating people at the table, food and so much more Everything has to be perfect, right to the table decor. At least if you are like me, I want everything to be just right. Most of the time I feel like I'm running around without my brain and having a panic attack about this or that. Most likely I will forget to put the biscuits in the oven on time or leave them in to long.

It reminds me of having Thanksgiving when I was little. For years, I remember my gram putting Butterball turkeys on the table. She had a traditional recipe she used. We all looked forward to the holidays, grams homemade holiday feasts was a huge favorite among all of us. Even now I can smell a Butterball turkey cooking and it brings back so many wonderful memories. You have to admit, you can smell something cooking, close your eyes and it feels like coming home again. I don't think I'll ever smell a Butterball turkey cooking and not think of past holidays. My gram would be flying around the kitchen making gravy, stuffing the turkey and shooing us into the living room. I admired my gram she would put a feast on the table. Almost everything she made was from scratch. I strive to keep certain traditions alive. She was unique though, a one of a kind, and no one could compare. I will miss those holidays as long as I live, but I will continue to give thanks for she was a blessing in my life. That is my Throwback #TBT what is yours? Butterball would like to know and if you have pictures of past Thanksgivings that is even better. Just put them here Butterball Facebook Page.

I'm not a "everything from scratch kind of gal", if I can get a little help I'm going to. If you see a plate of beautiful cookies on my feast table, and you think they look store bought, between me and you, they are! My favorite part of the feast table is the Butterball turkey. Oh yeah, Butterball turkey goes with Thanksgiving like peanut butter goes with jelly. It's just a given isn't it, if you think of Butterball you think of Thanksgiving.

The Butterball brand dates back to the 1940s, so it's likely that it would be the first name to come to mind when planning Thanksgiving. Growing up we loved Butterball turkey so much, my mother would constantly keep it in the fridge for sandwiches.

I'm not like my mom or my gram, when it comes to cooking, I need step by step instructions, and still pray it comes out edible. I'm thankful for the helpful how to videos at the Butterball Web site. Not only do they have videos they have a help line.

On the Butterball Website there are over 50+ experts to answer more than 100,000 questions, for thousands of households around the United States and Canada. The helpline will be open from November 2 to December 24 at 1-800-BUTTERBALL

  14. I LOVE Butterball Turkeys! My husband and I will only buy Butterball Brand for Thanksgiving. He and I have our own "personal" Thanksgiving a couple times a year during which we buy ourselves a small Butterball Turkey and roast it together. We make the sides together and have fun preparing it to our liking. We always have a romantic time when we do it too. So basically....Butterball has helped keep the spark in our marriage! lol ^_^

  15. My favorite Thanksgiving ever was last year's Thanksgiving. It was the first time my family had gotten together in years. My mother and father had a really rough divorce that was devastating for the whole family. We had separate holidays together and we didn't even communicate. Last Thanksgiving though, we all got together and put our grudges behind us. It was so nice to see my mother and father acting civil for the sake of the family. Ever since then, we've been able to have family gatherings with everyone included. :)
