We have had an opportunity to review a new product from PlaSmart , The Watermelon Ball.
The Watermelon Ball is a ball created and designed for swimming fun. Unfortunately for us, we are in the month of December and live in the North. It's too cold for a trip to the beach. We would usually go swimming during these months at an indoor heated pool in our community. Recently though, our local schools have advised us that they have been finding high levels of lead in their water. As I have just been made aware of this I'm not sure if just the water in the schools are affected by the lead or if it's through our whole area. We have a young toddler and I find it is best to take no risks.
It just so happens though our little girl is really into balls right now. She is having just as much fun indoors with the Watermelon Ball as anyone could be having with it outdoors. We have been rolling it back and forth, tossing it to her and she has even had some fun in the tubby with it. We are anxious for swimming weather already and can't wait to use this awesome ball at the beach. I've read about the water ball at PlaSmart, I'm positive the kids are going to have hours of fun with this.
The Watermelon Ball from PlaSmart is neutrally buoyant and feels, looks and behaves like a real watermelon in the water. It can be kicked, dribbled, passed, and easily intercepted in and even under the water! It can be passed up to 10 feet underwater. Swimmers can play a game of basketball, soccer, or keep the ball away. Players can bounce the ball off pool walls for trick moves. This looks to be a super fun time!
